Pediatric Speech Therapy FAQs - South Orange, NJ
FAQ
-
How long will my child need speech therapy?
The amount of pediatric speech therapy will vary from child to child. However, the greatest gains are always made when the family is involved in the therapy. During therapy, we focus on providing practical tools caregivers can carry over into daily routines.
-
Where will the therapy take place?
We provide home-based pediatric speech therapy services in South Orange, NJ and surrounding communities. Sessions typically take place in the area of your home where your child is most comfortable and engaged. If your child attends daycare or preschool, therapy can also take place in those settings to support communication skills in natural environments.
-
Do you accept insurance?
We are a private-pay pediatric speech therapy practice. We accept credit cards, including HSA/FSA cards. Upon request, we can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We recommend checking your out-of-network benefits directly with your insurance provider.
-
What ages do you see?
We specialize in early language development and speech sound disorders. We most often work with toddlers and preschool-aged children (1-5 years old). School-aged children may also be considered depending on needs and availability.
-
Where is your practice located?
We do not have a brick and mortar clinic. We service all our clients in their homes or in the community (ex. daycare, preschool, library). Home/community-based services allows us to provide therapy in a familiar and comfortable space, train caregivers/teachers, and allow for opportunities for the child to generalize skills in a natural environment.
We currently service children within a 15-minute radius of South Orange, NJ, including Maplewood and surrounding communities.
